Browser extension
Loket in your toolbar
The extension brings the checks to every web page: select a number, click the icon, read the answer. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox.
Not in the extension stores yet. Here's how to load it yourself, in two minutes.
What it does
Paste and done
One field: paste an IBAN, VAT number, reference or national register number and Loket tells what it is and whether it's right.
Your selection is ready
Select a number on a web page and click the icon: it's already in the field.
Reference and VAT
Make a structured communication and work out VAT without opening the site.
Fully offline
Everything is inside the extension. It never connects to the internet and keeps nothing.
How to load it
Until Loket is in the Chrome and Firefox stores, you load the extension yourself. It's a folder of plain files you can read.
Chrome, Edge, Brave
- Download the zip file above and unpack it into a folder you keep.
- Open chrome://extensions (in Edge: edge://extensions, in Brave: brave://extensions).
- Turn on 'Developer mode'.
- Click 'Load unpacked' and pick the unpacked folder, the one with manifest.json.
- Pin the Loket icon with the puzzle piece in the toolbar.
Firefox
- Download the zip file above and unpack it.
- Open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox.
- Click 'Load Temporary Add-on…' and pick manifest.json in the unpacked folder.
- Click the Loket icon in the toolbar.
Firefox keeps an extension loaded this way only until the next restart. Once Loket is in Firefox's add-on store, that step goes away.
What it may do
No access to all your websites, no history, no storage, no network. You can read the code in the folder yourself: it's plain JavaScript.
