Structured communication
The +++123/4567/89002+++ on a Belgian transfer. Check one before you pay, or make one from your own invoice number so every payment lands on the right invoice by itself.
With +++ or ***, with or without slashes.

How it works
A structured communication has twelve digits: ten of your choice and two check digits. The check digits are the remainder of the first ten divided by 97; a remainder of 0 becomes 97.
Banks refuse a transfer with a reference that doesn't add up. So a typo can't get through, and your accounting can match a payment to its invoice automatically.
Made from an invoice number, Loket keeps only the digits and pads them with zeros to ten. A fixed prefix (a customer number, a year) keeps runs apart.
